Estimating Notes & Clarifications
- Ti-6Al-4V ELI feeds/speeds. Swiss-type cycle time reflects conservative feeds for ELI grade (lower work-hardening threshold than commercial grade). Actual cycle may improve after first-article trial; any credit will be applied to subsequent orders.
- Statistical inspection plan. 8 of 25 per AQL 1.0 is conditional on prior written approval from Medtronic SQE (Sarah Chen). Without approval, 100% CMM applies — add $1,475 to quote.
- Passivation. ASTM F86 passivation via qualified partner; 3-day turn included in PMC lead time. Electropolish upgrade available at +$12.50/pc if required by Medtronic spec.
- Lead time. 15 business days from PO + approved drawing Rev. C. Includes Swiss, 5-axis, inspection, and passivation turnaround.
